wallpaper sizes

I'm just getting into making wallpapers for myself and also to give away. I know what resolution my laptop screen has and consequently what resolution to make a wallpaper for my own use. But how do you all handle making various resolutions for others? Do you have to remake the wallpaper in various sizes? That seems like a huge pain. But if you don'

I generally make wallpapers with these sizes: 1024x768 & 800x600. you can always make the bigger one first and then cut it down to size or resize it for the smaller resolutions.
