Yeah. And as much as I don't like UT, I'd still side with them against the Aggies. I'd like to see what A&M can prove about any recent positive contributions to society, any challenge presented by their programs as well as the quality of their graduates. Quite frankly, I doubt if they could. (Unlike us.)
That's the dumbest thing I ever heard. The phrase is used generally all the time, throughout college and professional football. Commentators always talk about the 12th man, and not just in reference to Seattle. Do they really think they can stop you from putting up flags that say "12"???? Did they also trademark the number 12? Maybe they shouldn't allow jerseys with 12 on them either.
Yeah, it's a well adopted phrase, but my issue is that if they feel so strongly it is theirs, why didn't they raise the issue back in 1984 when the Seahawks started using it as a pivotal part of their culture? I could see if this was something that we had started recently, but over 20 years of not saying anything, and then all of a sudden having a whiny bitchfit when we are successful? Bullshit. What an underhanded way to profit from someone else's success.
Guess they have to because they're such a sucky school anyways-- can't generate money on their own even though they've got all those rich republican alumni sitting in their pocket.
