Mine, Mine, MINE, his brain screams as his stomach sinks.
Jo, up there, in front of the whole town looking sexy as hell and showing all sorts of skin, showing him off as the luckiest man in town… Until she started sucking face with Fargo.
Not him, with whom she belonged, but with the four-eyed rat who probably couldn’t find his way around a girl’s body without an instruction manual.
Fargo should consider himself fortunate that he didn’t try anything else, or Zane would have to have broken his fingers. Which really, when he considers it, would have been a pain for everyone since Fargo wouldn’t be able to do his job for a while if he had. Fargo does have his uses, after all.
As he watches Jo closer, he realizes something’s not right about her- and not because she just acted completely out of character in more than a few ways. She looks stoned, high, drunk… something. Something very not the woman he knows. Maybe Fargo gave her some sort of mind-altering drug. Or something went wrong with the qualification test.
Or maybe she just wants to be a colossal bitch and mindfuck both him and Fargo at the same time. Anger burns in the pit of his stomach at the thought of this, and he wants to punch something. Or maybe Fargo.
All he knows is he’s got to get to the bottom of this- but first figure out what in the hell is going through his girlfriend’s head.
