Identical weary expressions on their faces, the Sorcerer and the Child-Bride walk up to the door. He knocks briefly, and they exchange a look of shared amusement, smiling that they do not cry, and lean against the doorway in identical gestures of exhaustion, one on either side.

Lex makes the I-can-hide face, but the first step Gina takes is to call out, "Who is it?"

After all, there's a limited number of people who could get past the doorman who wouldn't just come in through the balcony doors.

She grins and waves, and the door swings open for him. "Heya. This is Lex, Brooklyn's rookery brother."

"I, uh, guess it's just us, then," Lex says to Red. He glances toward the balcony doors. "Sorry about that. She... just likes to take care of things. We thought she'd focus on Robbie once he was born, but... well, she multitasks."

She chuckles. "Yeah. She's the same way, and so's the big lump out there. Even though he'll never admit it, 'cause of the whole evil thing."

That earns a raise brow-ridge. "Evil thing? That's a pretty subjective term. How evil is evil?"

"More selfish than evil. He either cares about people a whole lot, or he just doesn't give a shit at all. And either way he feels about you can land you in trouble, 'cause he's not always the... the most stable, really."
