Robert does the same thing to me when eating out. He will ask me what I am ordering - if it happens to be something he doesn't want, he gets this sad look on his face. So now it goes like this
Rob: What are you ordering
Me: Whatever my husband wants me to order cause I am a good wife like that.
Rob: **grinning** order me a BJ
Me: Uh, no!

As for the marker thing. I did that to Rob too. On his birthday - the year we met. Memories!
