4 walls: 2 HP (SS/HG, Harry), 2 SGA (Sheppard, McShep)
So I've been stressing out over uni, but graphic-wise I'm really excited about my last couple of posts. For awhile I felt like I had been stagnating.. Case in point, you may have noticed I stopped making HP and SGA fanart, mainly because I felt like I had run out of ways to twist the promo pics and look at things anew. And while I didn't stumble upon a wow'em technical way of making my graphics creative again, something else did happen.
I challenged myself to make wallpapers just using stock photos from sxc.hu, with no outside brushes or textures. As a result, I found myself keeping the technical aspects I had previously used alot (eg a focus on black and white, the occasional strong burst of colour, clean lines and dramatic contrast), but now shifting my focus from the characters to a kind of storytelling. And you know, it worked. I'm really excited about graphics all over again. :)
