Just keep swimming...

Do I need to buy the book for Beginning Swimming with Crowe?

Also, any information about this class/instructor would be helpful. Thanks!

Had her, and the book...

Have you taken any sort of YMCA swim lessons? If yes, then you do not need the book. I think I opened it once, before class started, to see what was in it. Mostly details on how to do strokes. Only other thing would be definitions...

Of course, I am trying to remember a class I took in my spring semester of sophomore year, and I've been out for a year... heh.

I might've used the book to see what terms would be on the tests.. like "breaststroke" and "rescue breathing" and such...

I personally took the class because I had been out of swimming for so long that I needed to get back into it before doing tons of laps a day... I was on the Y-swim team in 6th and 7th grade, as well as the middle school swim team both years... then I moved to Alabama. heh.

...I took Swim for Fitness the summer before I graduated, and we never touched a book, and it's supposed to be a little more advanced. I mean seriously, what the hell can a BOOK tell you about swimming??
