Recently I've had some pretty intense feelings and concerns regarding the freedom that rings oh so loudly from our nations walls. What is this freedom that we possess? When I wake up I lie in my bed for about thirty minutes, and as I watch the sunrise past my fence and the clouds are still a soft pink I feel confused and I do not feel free. From ( Read more... )

i strongly agree, but keep in mind...no matter where you go unless its a tribe in the middle of a jungle (and even they have some sort of monetary system..like in africa with the yams), money is not only oppressing people, but ruling the world, its being used to "seperate the classes" and giving people a reason to claim thier better than others. true you dont actually HAVE to have it to survive, but you would have a hard time finding somewhere they dont have some sort of monetary system or putting value on objects to trade.

But by abolishing the monetary system, above all other systems that separates us we are forced to realize the similarities rather than the differences. Go to Zeitgeistmovie.com watch both of those documentaries and then tell me if you do not agree. It is not essential, and if we had none to begin with everything would be for every body and a collective consciousness would emerge.

I would also like to say that the money that rules our worlds, minds, and society, has no actual value what-so-ever. A barter system of my yams for your apples seems more equal and valuable.

this country is totally repressed by conservative christian ideals. we are taught that we have freedom of this, that, religion, blah blah blah- yet we can't have a leader, etc. unless they're christian. remember all of that talk about obama being muslim? they were trying to use that against him as a bad thing, but, wait...
we are also told all about "separation of church and state" but that is total bullshit. they say it exists but it definitely doesn't. so many laws are enforced or try to be enforced based on christian ideals- no gay marriage, banning certain sexual acts, abortion, etc.

I completely agree with you. I believe that in this day in age religion is something that we as a society use as a whole to separate us and divide us further. Beneath this skin of mine, and beneath the skin of a fellow friend lies the same muscular structure, the same thoughts, the same feelings, everything. We use these organized structural societal concepts to break us down and type a word across our fore-head for once we conform to these ideals we create division and conflict upon them. Not only on a global scale of war conflict, but also a division in our own internal world. In our minds this conflict continues when we compare ourselves with one another, when we conform our minds and bodies and spiritual energies to one particular view (which keep in mind was only created by other human beings just as you). I believe these conflicts will only resolve if we start to realize the collective whole we must become in order for us to live in a world of peace, a world of truth and a world of harmony.
