we can't afford to buy a house in center city, and condos are ridiculously high priced and tiny, and we don't want to live in another neighborhood save for west philly. scott is very much a city person as am i. we both want to live there. i've had to do very little convincing since this apartment building went condo. we don't want to pay rent any longer, and now is a good time to buy if we're looking in west. yeah. he is into it. i mean, sure, he smokes crack too, but that is besides the point. uhh...don't you live on the western side of the schuylkill? :)

Yes, and I also lived in W Philly. I just remember Scott having no interest in leaving Center City (when we initially moved apartments 2 yrs ago). So, I'm wondering what changed.

yeah, i know. i really thought i was going to have a tough time convincing him, but i didn't have to work at it. after this building went condo and the new owners of our apt. raised the rent by over 200 bux, and we continued to outgrow this space, we needed to admit that we had to leave. he realized that we could keep paying rent forever, or spend a bit more on something (that is 3x bigger than our apartmenr) that we'd own. yay!

Great! well, actually ok, i just have a positive attitude :D
We have been having renovations done to our home for the past year - finally drywall went up this week - so everything is still in chaos, but, heh - it'll be good soon.
