I loved this one the first time I read it - especially Mycroft and the cat. perfect for him, and I love the fact that Anthea is the only other person allowed to have contact with her. poor Mrs Hudson - and lovely Sherlock and John (trust Sherlock to know exactly to the minute how long they've been lovers). and a quietly loving relationship for Lestrade, just as it should be. beautifully done.

And _of course_ my first Lestrade fic had to dedicated to you! Jack is really just another version of your Maurice! The differences are very slight compared to the similarity of the emotional connection!

I loved writing all the sections but Mycroft's was definitely my favourite.
*whispers* his cat is really very similar to Arabel you know! *

In fact, their section was written second because I couldn't wait! but I loved taking all the characters out for a spin.

The first part was glorious (and my S/J fangirl heart insists it was the best part, but that would be a disservice to every other bit of this wonderful piece).

I love the insight into Mrs. Hudson and her husband as well. Starts out sweet and airy, then turns very creepy...

I also like the fact that while Lestrade is gay in your fic, he doesn't end up with either of the Holmes' brothers. I confess to a tiny weakness for Mycroft/Lestrade, but it's nice to see the man has other options :D

And the last bit...of course Mycroft has a cat! It's something I never saw coming, and yet makes so much sense at the same time!

I'm _all_ about the s/j slash! I also really liked slightly twisting expectations for the other characters! Lestrade gets shipped with the Holmes' brothers so often that I reckoned his partner would have to be very relaxed. And Mycroft? I really liked the idea that you developed in Semper Fidelis that he doesn't let his guard down at all easily but when he loves, he falls hook line and sinker.
