The days and weeks seem to fly by here, yet we’ve only been here less than three months, and it feels like six months at least. Being busy contributes to the weeks moving fast. Every day is school all day, and every afternoon and evening is spent lesson planning, cooking, cleaning, and trying to just keep busy and productive. We still watch DVDs ( Read more... )

Hi,
I found your blog via a google alert, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! A close acquaintance of mine is actually on Ta'u right now. Although I hear from him very frequently, he never really shares specifics about what the island is like. It was so neat to read more about Tau, and Manu'a in general. Are you a volunteer teacher there right now? ..I think that is what I gathered.. Anyway, thanks for posting this! It was great!

hi there! oceanlady16 October 24 2008, 06:06:17 UTC
I've thoroughly enjoyed reading about your experiences so far. What lasting memories you will have accumulated: France, NY, South Africa, others I'm sure, --and now the cherry on top!!! We wish you much joy. Looking forward to seeing you upon your return; meanwhile our coconut tree bears lots of fruit to remind us of you.
Hey I just thought of something. I remember camping on a beach in Peru when there was an abundance of clams. We just waded on the shore, collected them, marinated them in lime juice (add salt, etc. too, if needed) and ate clam ceviche right on the beach. Need recipes? Let me know or just google.

I'll be visiting with your parents soon (haven't had too much free time since I'm working now) so if your ears turn red you'll know why.

Happy Halloween! Love, Denise and Lucho
