Football Rant
I'm currently watching the "10 Worst footie songs ever." While it is amusing me, it is also infuriating me. It is highlighting some people's unhealthy dependence on it. I don't mind football as a sport, although I prefer rugby and cricket, but I just hate how some people's lives seem to depend on it. I once read, that over 80% of football fans go into depression when the football season ends (although when that may be I don't know because football seems to be an increasingly year round sport). I just hate people who a) call football "the beautiful game" b) rant about how their team is the best ever/ worship players c) go on about how their team is going to crush the opposing teams into the dirt and beat them into oblivion and go on to win whatever cup their going to win d) referring to their team as "we," as in "We played well/badly." No you didn't play at all. You watched as some overpaid footballers played. If you ever hear me doing that, please slap me hard because I hate it. Gah! football is so overrated!
