Oh, this is so sweet! I really enjoyed it. Great use of rich words and phrases...my favorite was "...the chance to properly catalogue his flavour." Perfection!

Edited to add: I chose that icon because it seemed oddly appropriate. :D And you make the fancy heart with & hearts ; ...no spaces between the ampersand, the word, and the semicolon. Try it out! ♥
