We've all got our different tastes in pairings and styles when it comes to fan fiction. Rec me six of your personal favorites, regardless of pairing or fandom. GOGOGOGO! :D

ok fav's coming up (is reccing machine, not really cuts & pastes from my rec page;) It's hard to choose only six.

The Price We Pay for Wings by Frayach - Harry/Draco rated R 13,600 words: In this canon & epilogue compliant fic we get a look at the post war lives (roughly 20 years) of Harry and Draco through multiple POVs and in parallel with the writing and publishing of a wizarding world phenomen series of seven childrens books that affect the lives of all who read them. I really think that every HP slash fan should absolutely read this even if you don't normally ship H/D.

Comfort Food by arsenicjade is a wonderful down on his luck post war Draco being wooed by a more confident Harry. This is beautifully written and will tug at your heartstrings, but it's also very romantic. I re-read this recently and just had to add it to my list here. Harry says "...But I have an instinct for this sort of thing that found me Ron and Hermione and things look hopeful in your case." Actually all their exchanges are wonderful in this. Go read ( ... )

Of your list, I've only read A Mile in His Shoes. I loved it to pieces but didn't include it in my recs because I've already recced it all over the place. :D

I think I'll start with Comfort Food. Then move to the Snape story.

BTW, I'm heavily partial to top!Harry, so should I be warned? :)

The only bottom Harry is the Snarry but trust me, it's so good. My absolute favorite Snarry. Actually I rec all pir8fanciers Snarry's and Harry/Draco's emphatically!!!! (Harry tops in her H/D's). I like Harry on top in H/D and H/R, but don't care so much in Snarry.
oh and Godric's Hollow probably has Harry on the bottom as well, but it works there too.

Y'know what? I've never really read Snarry. *is scared* I actually thought you recced a friendship fic over there. *runs away*

*comes back* I like Harry on top in H/D, but bottom in H/R.

oh, and I'll say that I adored A Thousand Beautiful Things and pretty much all of Geoviki's fics to pieces and rec anything she writes. :)

Her stories are the ones that you think of days after you've read them.

I also wanted to rec femmequixotic's Kiss A Boy in London Town but figured a lot have read it since it came out just recently. I love that story so much.

But anyway, moving on to recs... Like you, I have only one major fandom (which is HP, and we all know that it's enough to pwn all the other fandoms) but enough ships to last me for a long time. :D

Draco/Hermione:

Redemption Redefined (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1635080/1/) is the most angsty, bittersweet, poetic, beautiful oneshot I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Prepared tissue paper. :')

The God of The Lost (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1352741/1/) is the first Dramione fic I read. It was the one that made me ship Dramione beyond normal comprehension. It's still WIP, mind you, but an amazingly great fic.

LOL. Y'know what? D/Hr is one of my serious ship squicks, just ask my friend jen_liz. I beta for her all the time, except this one time she wrote a D/Hr fic. Heh. I hope you're not offended. I don't understand it myself, especially because I used to read D/Hr before I got into D/G.

Hm. Maybe because I really don't like reading Hermione with anyone else but Ron? Except for the rare days when I read SS/HG. I know, I'm weird that way.
