My bad mood, let me show you it

It's funny how so much can be done when one isn't reading fan fiction.

Things to do:

1. Set an interview with Rep. Joel Villanueva.
2. Set an interview with Pagcor person
3. Fax request letter to PRA
4. Compile docs needed for credit card application
5. Set schedule for passport application
6. Read PCIJ book on investigating corruption
7. Write next part ( Read more... )

Good lord! Honey, that is some serious shit going on! I admire your loyalty and courage in standing up for what you believe is best.

Just please take care of yourself! Promise?

If I didn't know you were in the Philippines I'd have thought you were talking about the US. I guess we don't have a brain drain so much as a job drain, but it's really disheartening to watch your country continue down the same wrong path without ever trying to make actual changes or improvements.

I think we're fucked, basically.

I think we're fucked, basically.

Sometimes, I think so too. But... *sigh* I don't want to be cynical this early in my life.

And I didn't know the US grappled with rampant corruption as well. It does?

For a cynic like myself the whole system is corrupt and broken, though perhaps the corruption isn't the sort that gets labeled Corruption in other countries. I'm thinking of the hand in pocket two party special interest corporate war fundamentalist whore that our government is.

Having said that I, waving my little anarchy flag, don't have quite mainstream views. So take whatever I say with a grain of salt.

I remember your kind! *chuckles* And now I know what you mean.

You remind me so much of my friends, have I told you that before?

Hm.

Received a text message yesterday saying they're going to bomb a few malls and a train station to veer away from Lozada. Sent it to my parents, sister and best friend in case it's true.

It's *looks at clock* already 4pm, and Thank God! there are no reports of any bombings yet.

Malungkot pag umalis ka. Konti na lang tayong matino dito.

That was a fake message you received. Military intel said so, anyway. *shrugs*

Kaya nga parang di ko kaya umalis kasi...

And you should be commended, you know. A doctor who's decided to stay here!

I can't imagine myself living in another place (England, probably, hehe, because). Seriously, I haven't completely lost hope in this place.

Your job must be exciting. And frustrating. *pauses* You weren't part of the journalists who stayed over at the Peninsula seige, were you?

Yes my job is exciting and frustrating. But lately it's more frustrating.

And nope, I wasn't at the seige. I'm a business journalist so I cover the stock market, GDP, imports and exports and all the boring stuff. I just bored myself. Zzzz
