LJ and online friendships

I went for a swim with my brother and sister yesterday, and as a result, I am all tomato like (just like you, Duo). (I don’t really swim laps, what I do is lie on a floater board and not think, so my face and chest get the worst of the sun.) My skin hurts like ace, but I’m not complaining because this is the only way I am any other color but pale.

1. I am so jealous that you live in a place where it is currently possible to get a sunburn. I am so sick of winter I think I am close to losing it.

1. It's probably the best thing from living here. BUT. I've never even seen snow so I'll have to be jealous back.

You know, I used to question how people could really become friends - true friends - with people that they never saw in person. But then I realized that I have developed some very real friendships online, and even if I never see some of you in person, you are my friends, and I'm grateful to have you in my life. And a lot of it is the fact that you do sort of start with a 'clean slate' with people who have similar interests, and you go from there.

I'm with you 100% on the chocolate, too! Which is why I asked for suggestions, having mentioned the chocolate. I've already written about chocolate and licking (by Bill with Fleur) and chocolate and watching (by Hermione with Ron) and chocolate and tasting (by Scorpius with Rose). I am all for something new, and I giggled madly at your suggestion of cheese but must respectfully disagree and say that if Ron was to eat cheese off of anyone, it would have to be me. *grins*

And yes, I always thought online friendships had a layer of deception in them. But no, I've realized that it's not entirely true. As a matter of fact, online friendships only encourage you to be truer to yourself because you have less hang ups to hide!
