I wrote a Snape fic! Don't run away!

Hey guys! Here's the fic I wrote for the hp_rarities  fic and art exchange. It features Severus Snape, whom I know is not the favorite character of a lot of you in this f-list. But please take a chance on this one. I haven't written a lot but I can confidently say this is the best I've churned out so far.

Just thought I'd drop in and tell you that I loved your fic. I wished we could have gotten a ss/le kiss scene in canon but this will do as a lovely substitute. It's so heartachingly sweet there at the end. Thanks bunches for sharing. :D

Here on a rec from the_new_library and wow. This is outstanding work, sweet and thoughtful and insightful and beautifully shaped around these milestones. I love how the first kiss with Lily is the last of them all, yet has been the one he's held with him all his life and used to cast his Patronus, and to face his own death. Really wonderful. Thanks for sharing this.

Nope...I wouldn't have known you wrote this...although it does sound like someone who had to warm to Severus...and I think that's one of the things I liked most about this story. He wasn't like so many of us who LOVE him desperately sometimes do...

I loved each one of this niblets of stories, and I loved that you gave us that painfully harsh and violent interaction with the two before this sweet one...I had already pre-judged him as a asshole and then this sortof helped me deal with it...you know, just like his life!

Well I was very conscious of not making him fanon!Snape who's a hot and smexy bastard and nothing like what JK wrote. I guess that was easy because I'm not really in love with him.

Yeah...not being in love with him helps! But you did a good job with showing him human, which is hard for some that aren't a fan.

I wanted to read this sooner, had it opened on my computer so many times during the fest...but while I was reading this fest, I was also reading less_for_you and I think I'm all Snape and Lily'd out! Although, yours was a nice change of pace from the fluffy bunny stuff that most of the people are writing over there--all but me of course! *snirk*

I enjoyed this fic, but the best part was definitely the kiss at the end. That section was so beautifully-written, so well-executed... so romantic without being pointless fluff. I loved it!

Aw, this is wonderful. I love how it's not ridiculously fluffy, but realistic, and I guess that's because you aren't a huge fan of him, haha.
