Raucous music blared from the Ipod docking station filling the nearly empty bakery with wild celtic rock music. It had been bouncing back and forth between Flogging Mollys and Great Big Sea for the past four hours as Gil worked along building one of his quasi-famous gingerbread houses. He wasn't exactly sure what it would be when he was done, but ( Read more... )

Think? There was no time to think when the GHP was on the move... nor when Briar was taking one of her weekend-long vacations; she'd decided to use this one to track down fellow members of her "family."

Surprise, surprise, she found one.

The glass front display of the bakery was filled with Gil's creations. One the most recent of his creations was a castle surround with a this patch spun sugar briars. The one at the other corner of the window was of a tall tower with a spun sugar princess in the window, long brushed gold tresses hanging down.

A small smile graced her lips - a prelude to some far greater joy beneath the surface. She entered the shop. "How much for that castle in the window?'

Gil heard the bell at the door jingle and he wiped his hands, knowing he was the only one in the shop. He had started through the door to the main part of the shop when he heard the question.

"The Rapunzel is $125 and the Briar Rose is $150," he stated and then stopped, mid-stride. He stared at her. "I know you," he said very softly.

Finally here! I'm thinking just NPC-Briar for now until the attack properly begins, then Gingy can ghpnpcs November 23 2011, 01:24:33 UTC
[OOC: Step in and the order can be order could be NPC-Briar-Gingy?]

It was almost too easy, honestly. Especially considering it had taken the target-- Briar Rose was the name on the file-- so long to get separated from the children that had been preventing the Roshambo Trio from attacking. But now she was wandering all on her own, away from all support.

Scissors waited impatiently in an alleyway just outside the bakery for the target to leave. They'd taken long enough. She drew a knife, ensuring its sharpness, before shifting back into the shadows once more. With her thick, dark-colored clothing, she almost looked to be a part of them.

She left the building with a purposeful side, eyeing her surroundings as if merely curious about them; she wondered how long it would take them to show up. Not too long, she hoped - Miller would be furious enough that she'd left the safety of her children for this.

But it was better than waiting until Miller got the same idea.

Gil watched Briar go and shook his head, trying to process this all. He moved to the big plate glass window to watch her as she headed down the street.

When Briar began to walk past, Scissors grinned beneath the mask and darted out, hoping that she could get in a quick blow so that she wouldn't have to worry about the woman's thorns breaking through the clothes she wore. The fabric was supposedly thick enough to prevent it, but one could never be certain.
