Talk about it with someone you trust, write about it in a journal; or like riverrants said, be creative. Sometimes things hurt so bad it takes years for the burden to lift. Don't worry though there is light at the end of the tunnel. Find an outlet to get it all out; even if it feels like it's taking forever.
....and if not the doctor can prescribe a pill full of happiness. Or drowned it in alcohol. Not really a good or healthy idea though. Try the first paragraph first. :p

seriously. find a set of drums or a guitar you can wail on, and write music. it never has to leave you, but do it.
