I apologize for my execrable ignorance, but could you explain what "Christ's Pieces" is? I'm assuming that it's land (probably a green?) that belong's to Christ's College?

You'll have to forgive my sense of humour. Before I moved to Cambridge, I would have been equally baffled.

Christ's Pieces is indeed a green adjacent to Christ's College. It's not to be confused with Jesus Green, which is next to Jesus College.

For a country with such a secular population, y'all sure have a lot of things named after our Lord and Savio(u)r.

In fairness, Christ's College was founded in 1505 and Jesus College in 1496, so they pre-date England's decline into heathenism by more than 450 years.

Christ's Pieces sounds like a tasty snack food.
