Unintentional irony

I just read an article in today's edition of The Guardian newspaper, which reports that Republicans are unhappy about Barack Obama's nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the United States Supreme Court.

That's hardly surprising, I suppose. However, one of their reasons for opposing her is truly bizarre:

I loved the cartoon! And the National Review is fast becoming a paleo-fascist publication (hey I'm only engaging in the same kind of name calling that they are.)

You know, I read, watch, and listen to a lot of news, from a litany of sources on the right, left, and center. And I haven't heard a single person or entity criticize Sotomayor for how she pronounces her name. I've heard a couple of different pronunciations, but no one discussing it.

The criticisms have had more to do with her ignorant remarks (and rulings) on race and qualifications.
