Physicists in Hell

Seen at the Pharyngula science blog:

There are no physicists in the hottest parts of hell, because the existence of a "hottest part" implies a temperature difference, and any marginally competent physicist would immediately use this to run a heat engine and make some other part of hell comfortably cool. This is obviously impossible.

Also, David, while we're on the subject of physicists in hell, I really think that you and my friend blindapprentice should become friends. (And I have told him that he should become friends with you.) Brian is a doctoral student in physics at Harvard, and he recently co-authored this along with his supervisor and a post-doc at Caltech.

I mean, seriously, you science geeks should stick together.
