Ian & Natalie. That was nice. Natalie's head looks like it's about to fall off though, lol ( Read more... )

Ali's a good dancer, but she's just a bit too wishy washy for me. She seems like too much of a delicate little flower.

(also, snooker has been all controversy and drama this evening on BBC2)

I saw a bit during the Strictly gap, when they were all arguing about Jan making a MISTAKE! :o

Jan doesn't make mistakes, the people who wrote the rules just didn't take into account the possibility of a situation occurring where people could get out of making fouls by, errr, making a foul. The arguments will go on for weeks I think.

Hairspray bloke was Phill Jupitus - he's been in it for the last couple of months - I was wondering whether he'd be able to handle the singing, and the answer appears to be "not really, and not the dancing either". I saw it during Michael Ball's run, and he and the show were really good fun, although undeniably silly.

I think Showdance couple screwed up quite badly in the middle of their routine (also think Darcey made errors and Austin definitely lost sync with Erin (though he was pretty amazing otherwise, so he's forgiven)). Husband came in during Lily Allen's number and complained (he hates her), and I was all "What singer? I see no singer?".

Blimey, he was unrecogniseable. At least Michael Ball can bloody sing and can move without looking ridiculous. Jupitus is great in his proper place, but it would appear that a West End Musical is NOT IT.

In his Twitter he claims that the reason his singing was so bad was due to dodgy audio - he couldn't hear himself. TBH, I think I believe him, because if he was really as bad as he appeared in that performance he'd have been pulled from the stage production after day 1, if not before.

Ball was brilliant, and also much more attractive and a better dancer.

It just shows why they shouldn't employ people who aren't singers to be in musicals - none of the others seemed to be struggling - a singer would still cope with technical problems like that and not sound awful.

I am SO PLEASED that it's not an Ali/Ricky final because I wouldn't have watched it.

IMO you shouldn't be in the final if you can't do a decent Argentine Tango, and Ali & Brian's was the worst I've seen on Strictly - I thought she was about to start crying halfway through from being so scared.
