I made yet more amendments to the manly man quilt of manliness.  Someone on a sewing forum pointed out that with frequent washing, the wadding will migrate over time unless my quilting was closer together, so the back has gone from this:

I HAVE FINISHED THE MANLY MAN QUILT OF MANLINESS!!

It is just about the size of a double matress, so not big enough to be used as a complete cover for a bed, but he could have it over him on the settee in the evening, or as a throw over his "too girly" settees, or over his duvet when it's extra cold.

I am thinking that I would like to make a quilt sort of in a white/rainbow design. I have a nice white on white cotton (it's an almost but not quite invisible white flowered patterned fabric) and maybe combined with various strips of patterned/floral colours, sort of like this:

I am going through my old programmes. It is scary.

Today I went to Sheffield. I saw the trophy (they were doing a photoshoot with it on the grass outside the Crucible) and I saw Hazel's chair (it still has the price tag on). I did not see any snooker players, or Hazel. There is a new big screen outside the theatre, and it is very very grainy and pixelly.  There are also some new giant planter ( Read more... )

I went to Tesco's and parked and did my shopping. I came out and came back to my car - and there was a bloody great scratch along the side.
