Like Trying to Dress an Octopus

I've been a parent now for about 18 months. For the first time today, Devon decided to actively resist my efforts to get him dressed for bed. I now understand how this can be described as trying to dress an octopus. As an infant, Devon frequently would object to getting dressed, but lacked the muscles and coordination to do anything about it.
