Today was Columbus Day, except in Berkeley, where it was Indigenous Peoples Day.
God, I love the Bay Area. I am not being ironic. Where else could you get away with that?

I forgot all about Indigenous Peoples Day! I am saddened by that. I am also saddened to report that that's about all I remember Berkeley doing for indigenous people. (Or autochthonous people, if you'd rather. And who wouldn't rather use a word with two h's in?)
