I always found the TV preachers entertaining but was sorry for the people who were making them rich. I remember discussing this topic in Sunday school dring the heyday of Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart - we were sort of at a loss how to justify this thinking based on what was in our Bibles and figured we must be going to the wrong kind of church.

i used to drive past swaggart's compound when i went to LSU and was always so disgusted, and i distinctly remember tammy faye's eylashes. :p my dad and step-monster are southern baptists who would support this article 100%. yeesh.
