It's that time again...

I'm jonesing for Snermione fic again.

I know, I know, I do this every couple of years. Right now I'm smack dab in the middle of a crazy, busy season at work, I'm trying to finish my degree by the end of March and still have 13 credits left (and some major papers to write), and the holidays are quickly approaching. All of that means I have ( Read more... )

I've missed the fics from the heyday of fandom too. *hugs* Hang in there with everything else.

Have you read IShouldBe's work? She writes as IShouldBeWritingSomethingElse on FFN and IShouldBe on AO3. She has a fair number of incomplete works, but the completed ones are very satisfying, and she's never written anything that doesn't have a HEA. They're also not that long, so the odds are against you accidentally reading until 3AM unless you binge all her work.

Most of her work is DH compatible aside from The Death of Which We Do Not Speak.

Her writing style is not for everyone though, so if you could tell me what fics you liked I can rec you something a bit more particular.

Thank you! IShouldBe was someone sshg316 had recommended to me this summer... I had forgotten to save her stuff and read. I just saved several of them now and added her on alert... hoping she completes some more of her fics ( ... )

Okay, I read Soul Mate's Kiss and Convergence last night and enjoyed them. They were both fluffier than I tend to read, it was because they were short that I was able to get through them. Good writing though and I've gotta say that I do like the Ron and Molly bashing, LOL! I had actually read something else of hers earlier... one where they're friends with benefits, but I'm not a fan of that plot line... and I read her Sherlolly this summer. I do adore a good Sherlolly.

So, in fic I like drama, some angst (but not overwhelming), romance, and HEA. Of the new fic I've read over the past couple of months I loved, loved, loved Sin & Vice (minus the epilogue, I mean it was great, but I don't like epilogues that take you clear until the characters die of old age... I'd rather leave them before that point) and this other fic that I lost and can't remmeber the name of. It was one where Hermione had amnesia and was jumping through time in Severus' time line. So she meets him as a teen and tells off Lily and James, she jumps to when he's in ( ... )

*hugs* I’ve missed you, too!

I sent someone to you, btw. She’s looking for a beta. Not sure if you do that anymore, but she’s having a hard time finding someone from this side of fandom. I have no time between work and school. 😕

And what do you mean no fic reps? Do you read sshg anymore? Gah at this point I think I just want to know which fic to reread next. LOL!

I have to ask but I'm pretty sure I know the answer but.... DEGREE??? How is the family? Did you get the additional property you wanted? How are you and your crew? Mine is doing well. They are still sleeping. Hoping to make a roadtrip to my dad's relatively soon.

Oh, my dear, I miss you!!!! How are all of you? Anything exciting? I hope you had a lovely Christmas! I worked, so outs was very uneventful this year. Bummer, but it happens.

Let’s see... degree. Way back when (early 2000s) I earned an associates degree in nursing. When i in went back to n work in 2015, one of the requirements was that I get my bachelor’s degree by 2020. I got that in 2018. :). I currently work in the float pool. Three area hospitals, labor & delivery, postpartum, and NICU. It varies every shift where I go. Keeps me on my toes!!!

And yes. We bought a new place this summer. Ooooooold house (1938) on an acre. Lots of work but we love it.

I still want more SSHG fics. Got any recs? ;)
