Bank Lameness?? Or Ours?

Want to hear something really lame? (Partially on our part for waiting so long to think to ask, but especially on the bank's part.) Apparently when John "lost" his atm card, he just left it in the ATM. Now, when we reported it missing, nothing about it being found was mentioned. rates a 10+ on my lameness scale. with everyone so worried about identity theft one would think they'd have a forkin clue what they had vs what they don't. especially when you reported it.

Lame. I think they should call people, for more than one reason. One, if you lost your card, to say, "Hey, we have your card." Two, if you lost it or it was stolen, to report to you, "Hey, your card ended up in an ATM, did you know it was missing?" If someone picked yer pocket, or what-have-you, and tried to get money out of an ATM, but botched the PIN enough times, the ATM eats the card-- and you'd want to know if someone unauthorized was trying to get into your account.

I sez, write the Bank's Customer Service Department a letter!
