On the topic of "Aw fuck, I did NOT just say that..."

Thursday we had a congress and since the company I do my internship at is among the organizers I got to go for free. Yay! Cool speakers, amazingly luxury food and even a cool certificate by the end. The topic was multiculturalism in mental health care, so interesting too.

One of the workshops was given by my direct boss and one of the other ( Read more... )

...that's bad? I mean, I can see if he got embarrassed about it, but you were just trying to say how a 11 year old might perceive it, right? (if I understood correctly). I mean, I can remember how when I was a first grader I thought sixth graders were SO much older and mature... and as a ninth grader (let alone now)... well, they seem like kids. Or, I think my younger brother and sisters as (to some extent, even though I KNOW my brother is 20 and my sisters are 16) as young, but my mom's daycare children call my brother "uncle". So it's always a matter of perspective and I don't see what you have to embarrassed about, really. :')

Lol I know, and really? Yeah, in my eyes the guy is totally OLD. I mean, he's easily two, almost three times my age. Duh!

Which doesn't excuse me from embarrassing my bloody boss in front of his peers. While he was speaking on a congress. I'm an intern. He's the head of a division.

He's a really nice guy and I don't think he'll call me out on it (am pretty sure of it actually) but me being the intern, it's really not good form :P Me and my runaway mouth ^^;;

Yep, it happens. I. . . Yep. It will be fine and I swear you will remember it far far far longer than he will.

Urgh, never got a notification, hence the late reply.

Heh it makes a fun (if somewhat embarrassing) story to tell on parties. He's a nice guy with a sense of humour, so I'm sure he'll live ^^;;

Well it is a fact from an 11 year olds perspective... or a 20 somethings... truth sometimes hurts!

Heh the guy is about 2.5 times my age, so yeah. I guess he does feel kind of old to me? Then again, what's old?

*laughs* My point being; old depends soley on what you compare yourself with. I'm old too. Compared to a toddler or even a teen-ager I'm old. Compared to dogs, cats, the flowers in my windowsill I'm ancient. Compared to the three outside my window I'm no more than a little blip in time, let be compared to some other things. *shrugs* Just a matter of comparison right? So if you're old only depends on who or what you compare yourself with :P
