So we just found out that my stepbrother Jason, who enlisted in the army last year and finished this summer, will be going to Iraq. Our minister is also going only he leaves this week, on the 13th to be exact. Jason gets to at least spend Christmas with us before he leaves, and both are going for an 18 month tour ( Read more... )

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As you know, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. She was extremely lucky they caught early, and only had to undergo radiation as opposed to chemotherapy.
