Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Review

So I saw Transformers Revenge of the Fallen last night.....and

- What was the real plot of the movie (even for a popcorn summer movie it should have had a semi-plot)
- Why was jetfire a blackbird? if he was changing with the times then he wouldn't have rusted up and when did he decide to go to sleep? if was asleep that long then that plane would have been too modern for him
- Why was the chick in the movie at all?
- What was up with the T-1000 style chick robot, why waste time if they could take human shape then take someone of power over
- If they wanted Sam so bad they had many opts to grab him
- For a movie that bragged about the amount of robots in it, I didn't feel like they were center stage
- oh devastator, how the mighty have fallen
- if that thing was on the moon, wouldn't we have seen it?
- if that big machine were in the pyramid, wouldn't we have found it by now with simple scans they do to map out the passage ways in the pyramid?
- Why did they feel the need to resurrect Sam by dead robots in 'heaven'?
- Why was Optimus so underutilized in the movie?
- Why were Megan Fox's lips so big, nasty
- Why did Sam's mom act like she was on acid not brownies?
- Why did they feel the need to make the mom look like a tool?
- Why did they need so many 'pause it's a Sam/Mikala moments'? The movie was fine without them every other scene
- The scene where The Fallen sent a message to the planet, no one would have bought it because it looked like a video game was talking to them....
- Why the need to make the twins complete morons? They clearly were good fighters and didn't need to be a constant attempt at comic relief
- What happened to the little truck robot? He disappeared and we never saw him again...
- How could The Fallen just swoop in and snatch the matrix when it was wedged in Optimus' chest?
- How could Prime, being a direct decendant of the Primes not know about The Fallen?
- What was with the pod robots on the moon? Robots are built full form, not grown.....
- Since when are energon cubes made by destroying a sun?
- Who was the editor, they should be fired, parts of the movie didn't flow and they jumped around at times and you were expected to follow
- Why didn't that dog sense the truck robot in the garage?
- Why did Megan Fox look like she was laughing when they were supposed to be serious and running for their life from the explosions?
- What happened to that little piece of the AllSpark when Sam pointed it at Jetfire? Did he absorb it?
- Why didn't they use RC more?
- What happened to Bumblebee's voicebox? It was working at the end of the last movie...

I know it's just a fun summer movie but for someone who's enjoyed transformers for a long time I felt that it was missing something. I did enjoy the first movie but this one just didn't do it for me.

Sure there were funny parts, interesting parts, and ohh and ahhs but at the end of the movie I was sitting there thinking WTH did I just watch......

Some of the good in the movie was Bumblebee in action, Shia's acting was pretty good, and the ex-gov agent RoboWarrior was great. Optimus (when he was used) was great in action. Megatron/Starscream interactions. And little things here and there.

I guess I was having a hard time buying that the all powerful decepticons would go through so much trouble to seduce Sam just to get his brain, they would have just TAKEN IT imo. They don't value human life. The same with snagging his parents as bait, if that was a plan then why didn't more decepticons participate in it, it almost seemed like they were all doing their own thing.

Optimus - I felt he wasn't used that much. Half the movie he was dead and they just tossed him around like a ragdoll. Even though he's a huge robot, dropping him outta a freaking plane that high up had to have damaged the body further. The fight scene with him were great but I just didn't like that he was mia through a lot of the movie. And so were the rest of the autobots....

and you know, that little government snotty dude, he would have tried to TAKE Optimus' body after his little rant about sharing technology earlier in the movie.

And since when does Megatron obey? Except maybe unicron and even then he didn't want to play nice.

Megan Fox - I get she was supposed to be eye candy for the boys (and some girls) but I just looked at her and thought, you're sucking up screentime that could be filled with more robots fighting and more plot!!! get off the screen with your damn fake big lips and slow mo! haha

And they did have more robot on robot battles, which was awesome but I wanted that to be the whole movie. I would have been happy with the plot just being the decepticons wanting revenge and they all came to earth just to battle and left out all that The Fallen stuff. I mean it wasn't in the movie that much anyway..... and cut out some of Sam/M scenes.... too many 'oh you love me you say it first' 'no you' 'no you' ugh gag....

Again, I get it was a popcorn summer movie but for me it fell flat and left me feeling like I wasn't on an action ride at all but a ride that pretended to be an action ride but kept breaking momentum before it got up to full speed......

So I didn't love it, didn't hate it, it was just ok for me. Which to me was a little disappointing. I really wanted this movie to be fantastic (and I guess maybe it is to some people).

just my opinion.....
