dude. whoa.

have I mentioned lately that you're a rock star?

i've listened to the same two songs over and over today to help me stay focused on grant writing- sadly, the two songs are Muse's Super Massive Black Hole and White Zombie's More Human Than Human. Says much?

sigh.

...I'm pretty sure this is the darkest piece of mine that you've ever read. For what it's worth, it was for a prompt that was "Dean/Alistair - fluff" during Dean's time in Hell and well, dude it's Hell. You're not going to be able to find much fluff there, all in all. XD

Man, I'm so glad I don't have to write grants. I need to try and focus so I can shuffle web accounts around and all and later I've got to send out a mass mailing to several hundred customers that all need to be hand entered into our system, but it could be worse. It could be grants.

Yeah, cause when I go to hell, I want to go to the Fluffy Hell.... whatever.

I have such a love hate relationship with grants. I hate to write them, but I oh so love to have a job... its been nothing but nose-grindstone around these parts. I'm sneaking a few minutes before I start writing again. my eyes were starting to cross.

Ha! I love you so much. XD The prompter seemed to mean it in a sort of sardonic sort of way (to which end, I've a Dean/Castiel fic rec if you ever wish to read a sardonic take on Dean's time in Hell) but I couldn't quite get the humor in that s/he was wanting. They'll have to deal with Alistair giving Dean an anniversary gift instead.

I don't blame you at all. Take a few minutes to rest and recharge. You'll feel better for it and your productivity will go up as well.

We should get together some time soon. Let me know when things are a little less nose-grindy, yeah?

I really want to know what somebody was smoking to come up with fluff for a Dean/Alastair prompt.

I think the anniversary present is a good, believable answer for the prompt, though. It's about as fluffy as these two are going to get.

Ha! I think they were originally wanting something sardonic in tone but I couldn't get that together. A bright and shiny new demon cursed knife is the best I could arrange. :)

Speaking of sardonic--could I have the link to the Dean/Castiel fic you mentioned above, pretty please?

No problem! The story I was referring to is this one by strangeandcharm. It's wrenchingly good and I'm more than happy to pass a link on for it. :)

If this is where that prompt led you, then I say - fluff all around! Excellent. I love imagining Alistair brimming with "glee" over celebrating this anniversary and I love Dean's reaction to the glee and his not talking after saying that one word that Alistair wanted to hear. Great stuff!!! or should I say great 'fluff'?!!

Ha! Thank you for commenting! Fluff in Hell doesn't exactly seem like it would fit the definition of fluff on Earth and I'm glad that my definition of it worked for you. :)

*g* Thanks! I think you've got to be a little bit messed up to enjoy stories about Dean's time in Hell, but man, I'm freaking addicted to them. It's the dynamic between Alistair and Dean and how frighteningly well Alistair knows him when he's this evil yet affectionate bastard. I think we've discussed this before though. ;)
