...worth checking out.
"Aozora no Hate" by Okuda Miwako starts off this little pimp post that I'm doing in lieu of an entry tonight. This theme song to Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru (2003) starring Takenouchi Yutaka with Shinohara Ryoko and Arashi's Aiba (amongst others) supporting haunted me when I first heard it. I would listen to it on repeat endlessly because the lyrics and Okuda's voice just pierced and broke my heart. Gorgeous.

I won't lie about "Namida no Niji" by Ueto Aya. The drama it was the theme song for (which Ueto Aya starred in), Hotelier (2007), was not the greatest. However, I have been a fan of Ueto Aya since way back (as an actress and an idol singer too) and this is probably the best song of hers she's done. It's so mature in tone and her voice rings sincere and she's just so PRETTY in the PV. ;)

I wasn't all that into Kobukuro until "Aoku Yasashiku". It served as the theme song for Dream Again (2007) starring Sorimachi Takeshi with Shida Mirai and Kato Ai supporting. The song was absolutely fitting for the drama and again, this was another song that enraptured me from the moment I first heard it. The lyrics and their voices and just guh. ♥

"My Measure" by lecca is seriously badass, just like her. Though I never finished its drama Gyne (2010) (starring Fujiwara Noriko and Kamiji Yuusuke), I loved this song because it felt strong and very uplifting of women particularly. :)

I'm reaching back here for "Naze..." by Hysteric Blue, the theme song of P.S. Genki desu, Shunpei (1999), starring KinKi Kids' Domoto Koichi and Seto Asaka with Kanjani8's Yokoyama Yuu, Nakama Yukie, and Fujiki Naohito supporting. Honestly, this song is so fitting of summer and just kind of spins you it in. :)

This post wouldn't be complete without "HANABI" by Mr.Children, which was the theme song for Code Blue (2008-2010). So here it is. :D

And that's all for now because I'm tired. XD
