Here's a dialect survey, from
linguaphiles, because I don't feel like writing about my life... well, all right, I've been sick for a while and have slept since I got home until about an hour ago (with a break for dinner; which in retrospect wasn't a very good idea).
But yeah, survey.
Age: 15
Where I grew up (ages 5-15): 0-9 Providence, Rhode Island (suburb), 9-10 Boise, Idaho, 10-15 Los Angeles, California (suburb)

5. The piece of furniture that seats three people? Sofa. Occasionally "couch," but usually sofa.

19. What's the evening meal? Dinner. Sometimes I accidentally call it "lunch."
20. The thing under a house where the furnace and perhaps a rec room are? The basement... but we only have a garage in California :o(
