You mean Mary Stewart? That Merlin trilogy (with The Crystal Cave, etc.)? (At first I thought of T. A. Barron, but then I realized that was more like five or six books, and it was really more of a Young Merlin series - in fact, that's what it was called.) Jane Yolen also wrote a Young Merlin trilogy (Hobby, Passager, and Merlin, IIRC).

Of course, had you meant Young Merlin, you probably would have said so. Stewart's trilogy is the only one featuring the adult Merlin, and probably the best-known one (ranking somewhere in between Marion Zimmer Bradley and T. H. White).

*is teh booknerd*

And, ha, I have dial-up, so it's so much less tempting! (of course, dial-up sucks like you wouldn't believe...)

Yes, Mary Stewart. *twitches* I had to read The Hollow Hills over the summer, yet had to do The Crystal Cave for a project instead. Oi.

Yeah, well, it all just depends what you value more--a fast, fulfilling Internet experience, or getting your homework done (and by extension, good grades). :o)
