I've never watched Dr. Who, but I have enough friends who do to know a little about it. And I know all too much about WBC.

Westboro Baptist is, regrettably, not that far from KC. Since my hubby grew up in the KC area, he understandably has rather strong feelings about how they corrupt the doctrines of love and grace into such a repulsive message. I'd never thought about the similarities before, but they do rather behave like Daleks, with room for no emotion other than hatred in their souls. Although I do think I react with more shuddering revulsion to the WBC folks than the Daleks. The Daleks at least are capable of wit, as seen occasionally in canon, or in this DW spoof (09:00 & onward), written by the current Doctor Who exec. producer:
