He waited. Hours after the fight and not a word; not a blinking light or sudden burst of techno to announce an incoming call or message. His eyes never left his phone, ear to the door in hopes of the jingle of keys or even the slam of the door to say he was at least home.
Takeru could deal with the anger, with knowing he'd made a mistake and witnessing the damage he'd done to their relationship first hand. He could take any abuse Miyavi wanted to throw at him over it, anything but this. The silence, the not-knowing was eating him from the inside and breaking him faster than any word or fist could. This absence was a ripple in their otherwise chaotic serenity.
Patience and pride waning, Takeru reached for his phone. He hadn't tried to defend himself before, he'd accepted his mistake and hoped he could wait it out. Realizing it was a coward's move, he hoped he wasn't too late as he dialed.
One ring, two, three, and a silly voicemail alert later he sighed, hanging up without leaving a message and instead opening the text system. Miyavi's phone wasn't off - it rang, and he had chosen not to answer it. Typing quickly, Takeru told the truth and prayed that if Miyavi even read it, he'd believe him.
I didn't kiss her back, I was just too shocked to push her away. I hate paparazzi right now almost as much as I hate this hurting you. I'm sorry, Myv, please trust me. Please come home.
