the entire drive to the rec and the way back I kept thinking "maybe our mice are clean...what can I feed a mouse?"
I'm truly disturbed by this killing, it can't go on...

NO! Mice are not clean! DO NOT FEED YOUR MICE! THEY WILL ONLY REPRODUCE AND TAKE OVER YOUR APARTMENT.

I had a mouse problem once. I bought some of those adhesive traps that don't KILL the mouse. Only problem is that once the mice have landed in the adhesive, they can never survive in the wilderness because their toes are all stuck together with thick mooshy glue and they can't walk. The morning after I set out all those adhesive traps, I found myself crying over the kitchen sink as I carefully bathed mouse after mouse trying to get the sticky stuff off their feet.
Mice don't like baths
