When I watch Rome and people aren't having sex, I think, "Where are the gratuitous sex scenes? I thought I was watching Rome." When I don't see incest and depraved sex acts and couplings that probably never happened, I think, "Wait, am I still watching RomeOn the other hand, when I see Atia being an adulterous bitch, (young) Octavian being a twat

Still, I am willingly watching this show, and being nine episodes into the first season as opposed to only thirty pages into J. E. Lendon's Empire of Honour does not reveal much about the value I place on historical accuracy.
