Usually I get asked about my pay in a joking way but I still find it rude (I work at a toy/game store and we are encouraged to demo stuff so people just think we're playing and that my job must be so easy).

Once without thinking, I said 'not enough' (which isn't true cos I'm actually very well paid, I was just distracted and annoyed). Then I was like 'ohhh shit' in case the guy was a mystery shopper. Whoops.
Usually I just smile or pretend I haven;t heard haha
