I'm worried about grades.....arghhh.......especially because I'm on scholarship, I hate this feeling of apprehension. I'm not even sure college is right for me right now, I don't know what i want to do with my life! Who says that a college degree is ZOMGNECESSARY for a decent life? well you can worry all you want about grades because of a scholarship, but if its like most scholarships, its determined at the end of the spring semester. thats why i usually suggest for people to take your harder classes in the fall, and easier classes in the spring, so that you have a chance to recover your GPA. secondly, not knowing what you want to do is perfectly normal. however the sooner you figure it out the better so you can make sure you get those pre requisite classes taken care of. i mean you can go to college for something you don't like but you know you can make money at, or you can go for something that might not make much money but would increase your existing knowledge. I personally wish i would have choosen a different path in college, the best thing you can do is look at the degree programs, and go around and talk to the teachers in charge and get a feel for them, as well as any first year advisors that should be able to help guide you. I know exactly how you feel. I chose to put off the rest of college unil I figure out what I want. But it's not going to be easy to find a job right now, especially when you're young and have little practical experience. But, whatever you decide to do, don't have any regrets. And if your family tries to give you crap about your choice, just humor them, because they really do mean the best, they just worry about what'll happen and think that a degree can assure happiness in the long run.
Then again, it might just be USF. *shrug* Anyway, good luck figuring it out.

Jess is right, especially about family (M&D) wanting what they feel's best for you... *hug* It'll all work out. I'm right there with you with stressing about grades... I fell right into the "I was a big fish in a small pond" trap. But like Jess said, GPA's not calculated until spring semester or (if you need it) summer semester, so there's always a chance to improve - even if you have to CLEP or take a class over.

Love ya lots, sister dear, and I will support you in any decision you make. Just make sure it's what will be best for you as a person in the long run. <3
