You want to know something I've noticed about being hungry?

In your dreams, you never imagine really plain and simple food - it all has to be grand, five course meals, with every sort of desert and treat and layer and seasoning you can imagine. Nothing simple like white rice and soy sauce or lima beans; no, instead it's always fondue or Western ( Read more... )

Ohhh food dreams, I get them alot Even before food shortage, it was always nice to dream about food...usually food you'll never have.

...Bears...bears are in town...really!?!?! though bear meat does sound food though...now I'm more hungry than a moment ago. As for the rabid dog...god knows where it's been or what it has been eating, it would be best not to think about it I know from experience...at least I think I do?

I don't know if it was really bears - I almost don't think they'd be, well...native to this island, but it reminded me of prints I've seen of bear paws.

A rabid dog would beat a rabid rat, though. More to eat with just the same amount of exposure to the rabies. It makes...sense. I think...

Ahhh I see was scared at the thought of bears being in town.

That's true, but because of rabies, it makes it less nice, than what it could be.

Bears. It's...it's questionable. But there's something scary and big out there.

Well, rabies and bears...What's next? Gigantic sea monsters? Maybe we should barricade our doors.

It would really depend on the breed and temperment of the animal as to whether or how quickly it may turn on it's owner.

As for eating rabid animals, I would not recomend it considering you would in essence be infecting yourself with the virus that causes it. Also since I'm not certain as to whether there is a current supply of the vaccine it would almost certainly be fatal or permanently debilitating.

Say it was one of those...Labradors? I think one of my neighbors has one of them, and I'd hate to be around it if the thing lost it.

Not even if the meat's all but burnt? If boiling water makes it drinkable, then turning meat into charcoal might yield the same results. (Although I may not be surprised if it doesn't...)

Labradors are a fair tempered breed I believe, had it been something such a boxer then there might have been reason for concern. Though other breeds would be just as quick shuch as Chow Chows and a few others, I'm certain there is someone that could give you an extensive list.

I don't believe that it's been tested, but since the virus itself is hosted within the nerves it would still be risky at best.

I think there are concrete reasons I've yet to own a dog in my life...Maybe the owners will eat it before it eats them...
