I've heard that Confessions of a Crap Artist is not that good. The Collector is Allah awful. Read Tom Robbins. Great story. The first time I read it, it resonated so strongly with me that I carried it around in my bag for two weeks.

I've never read any of these. I'm reading right now: hemingway's Across the River and into the Trees.

I hate Hemingway. We got into a fight in Paris about who was better hung, and I punched him in the mouth.

Or was that Gertrude Stein?

I haven't read any of those, but you can't go too wrong with Dick or Vargas Llosa, IMO. My husband loves Feist, but I just can't get into him. Guess I"m not much for fantasy.
