I wish I could have gotten photos of the bobcat, but it was at dusk and he was running along one of those large cave-like divots on the canyon wall. Way too dark, but so cool. There's something about the way that cats move that's so unmistakable.
ps Almost done w/ Goat Song and really loving it. Thank you again.
i'm still in the middle, and man all of the bible references are starting to irk me... i really regret being forced catholic (with all of the obligatory guilt, no questioning,no alternatives, fear, and shame involved) up to the age of 17 or so ("you live under our roof you will follow our rules!!")

Haha, yeah that's kind of how I feel about the trip. Glad I'm safe, bummed it didn't quite work out like I'd planned, but still happy I got to see some really cool stuff.
I want to try again sometime, but I need to not go alone, possibly try to reach the area from the other end via canoe (though currently the water might be too low for that).

I don't get the impression he's a god-fearing man, just one that's refering to what he knows or is easy to find translations of.
But my Catholic upbringing was far less traumatic ;)

OH NO, SHE'S BACK! (did something go horribly wrong?)
OH WHEW, SHE'S BACK! (not so wrong that she can't post thank god)
OH CRAP, SHE'S GONNA BE PISSED. (still something went wrong)
OH, COOL, I GUESS IT'S OKAY. (wow, look at those fricken beautiful photos)
