Aughh, so amazing!!! I was half-wondering what could possibly live up to 6 months of waiting and anticipation for this update, and now I know. Hot sex and all the feelings. Even when I know that the other shoe has to drop, and I'm sure that the good times won't last, it was just such a beautiful interlude that I'm still futilely hoping that nothing bad will happen. Ugh, so happy about this update right now, so much love for Damen and Laurent, I can barely articulate it.

Oh, man. Don't even get me started on the undercurrents. When Damen was sort of vaguely surprised at how good Laurent was at undressing someone, as though he'd been taught? DAMN. Someday he's going to figure it out, and it'll be amazing. And Laurent making Damen say that he's leaving tomorrow, refusing to use his mouth on Damen, making Damen take off his boots for him, his impossible will? I just love all of that, all of Laurent's control issues, even as he seemingly submits to his desires. Yup! Still flailing.

OH GOD, the BOOTS. Where Damen is all, "I won't do anything you don't want" and then he's like, "you want to stop????" and the BOOTS and pushing him back with his shiny boots. UGH.
