Green Lantern
There's this moment in The Green Hornet (yes, I know they're not the same movie) where I thought, "What a jackwad" about the hero. But the thing was, there was enough that was likable and charming about him that it didn't matter. I still wanted to know what happened next ( Read more... ) -

Booklogging: Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
There are things to like here. Mostly, it's an entirely unique take on a fantasy novel. I loved seeing a Spanish/Arab based fantasy with attention to the details of their life and where it wasn't about white people who lived in a pseudo-Spanish culture. It also dealt with the idea of white people more gracefully than "Silver Phoenix". Instead ( Read more... ) -
