Wal-Mart oh, Wal-Mart. What a wonderful place you are...full of loonies and religious freaks (this does not include all the workers btw - <3 to

Ah, the smell of people pushing religious beliefs down others throat without permission... reminds me why I ddon't visit many churches in the south...
Whenever people try that on me, I just give 'em the one thing they hate most: nothing. Don't try to justify or argue. Say 'Uh-huh, yeah. Whatever'. Some people like the argument and to be proving themselves right. Take that ability away with indifference, and they get frustrated and move on. Be secure in your own beliefs, and they won't be able to mess with ya.
*hug* Thanks :) I just am way too easily suckered into things (whether it's because I want to believe people or not, I'm not sure). I'm just glad I didn't get totally angrily-defensive...that would've looked bad for atheists everywhere--which was probably why I was so upset on this cause I wasn't expecting to be representing a particular group when I went to the store (but if I was, I bet I let them down).
Yeah, and my mom wonders why I don't want to go to church anymore these days. Ugh. I'll try to keep indifference in mind. Generally in the past I've been willing to even go so far as to lie to people just so they will leave me alone ("Do you believe in Jesus?" "Sure do! Spoke with him this morning at the convenience store when I bought that lotto ticket!") but I've gotten more and more stubborn lately about why should I have to pretend to be something I'm not. ...and I'm a sucker of a nice person so I get sucked into listening to things rather easily. ;_;
Yeah, if my life were a book, I'd totally be the character getting suckered into carrying the heavy equipment and going first down the deep, dark tunnel of doom.
