i made a dress
the picture really sucks, but still. i made a dress! that's not for a dog! XD yay me!
i like it. i think it turned out pretty good, especially for my first time making a dress on a sewing machine in, oh, five years. it's a lovely, soft purple jersey knit. i don't normally do purple, but i was given three yards of it and i can't resist a soft fabric.
i reconstructed another dress tonight. well, it started out as a shirt and i made it into a bubble-hemmed dress, and i love bubble-hems. love. yes. it's a gray jersey knit(did i mention i love jersey knits?) and i think i'll probably wear the fuck out of it now. i didn't like it as a shirt, but it really suits my shape now and i wear dresses far more than pants. it has a belt, which i might tweak a little, but other than that, it's pretty much done. i'll probably take pics tomorrow.
