Why you shouldn't donate to the Salvation Army...

Dec 01, 2006 19:14

I used to donate to Salvation Army every time I passed one of their bell ringers - I thought it was a great cause and felt good about it. ( But, then I found out that they are VERY ANTI-GAY. )

I might be strange but I have never ever actually seen these people do the bell thing. And I would never support a religious agenda.

but it's really not socially acceptable to swear at children.

I would. :) I was never one to listen to our society's rules.

oh, good grief. i mean, i'm not really surprised but it's just getting so tedious. and the bell ringers already piss me off. my former best friend used to say there was something wrong with me because i didn't like the bell ringers and i hated (still do, in fact) the song about the little drummer boy. i love Christmas carols, but for some reason can't stand that one...i think it's because i remember a claymation cartoon of the little drummer boy when i was a kid that just depressed and again-annoyed me. heh.

LOL, fake dollars, that is awesome. I would print those out if I ever saw any Salvation Army people.

I think the whole office for faith-based initiatives is bullshit as well. Its all a way to channel tax money to Xian organizations who discriminate in such a way.
